Description
The new school term has started for our heroes and between needing to help Ren get changed into her uniform and Hiro-kun still making all the moves on the oblivious alien, Takeya's plate of stress and trouble is nicely topped with a surprise visit from Miu who is desperate to return his sharp-pen to him (obsessed fan from a distance...I think yes). While Miu treats Takeya to a home-made meal at his place, Hiro-kun is with Ren at the Friendly Committee gardening project and by some interesting twist of fate the respective couples have near-kiss experiences, only to be interrupted by a tea kettle going off in one case, and Ren declaring her resilience to kiss anyone but her Master. A lesson in Ren's innate loyalty and Miu's growing affection toward Takeya. We then get a glimpse of what the heck is up with khi and those constant bandaids on his face - acne problem? No. It's his overbearing, abusive hostfamily brother who really treats him as Khi has been brought up to believe: a slave. When another too-hot-too-handle situation pops up in the apartment with Ren, Takeya runs away only to coincidentally bump into Khi and give him a good lesson on what real friends are. Happily, by the end of the book our little Khi has developed a backbone and those nasty bandaids have disappeared from his lovely face. Another DearS shows up - this time, a Zero Numbers like Ren in search of "Sample a2". Takeya whips up another creative name, China, and the two dilly dally around Koharu Shopping Arcade playing Master and overall boosting China's self-confidence since she has a complex about "not being needed". Despite their bonding day and kiss on the forehead that night, the following day, China has returned to the Headquarters sans good-bye and is put back into hibernation mode by whomever the scientists were that sent her out - still without Sample a2 in hand. We find out that Sample a2 is in fact a child DearS, un-named and possibly mute by choice. She lands on the school roof via airbourne Mochi and comes in contact with Takeya who sees some awfully strange visions when he touches her hand...she too seems to be a Zero Number...but no ordinary defective product as we later see her pull stunts like levitating, disappearing and blowing things up. While Takeya is making this discovery, Mochi is in school bouncing all over and lifting girls' skirts in the process, eventually making himself up Mitsuka-sensei's skirt...which she just loves. Anyway, Takeya accidentally scares the little DearS and this lands them on the edge of the school building roof where they both get blown off by the wind only to be saved by Ren and possibly that little girl's powers...Just when they all decide to bring her to HQ and figure out her story, they find the Ship is floating and completely cut-off to them...nothing left to do but take in the little one as Ren and Takeya's kid...?! She gets freaked again while in the apartment and runs away for a bit, only to be found by Takeya on top of the roof where the two share another bonding moment (since when is Takeya so good with kids...?!) Lastly, "Peach-Pit" shows 3 utterly insane short comics in the end that mingle all 3 of their projects together and are quite funny. Enjoy. - from Amzon
